The Story behind the painting: Insights was painted over a period of three weeks. As always, the process of creativity became a meditative focus, where everything else around me disappears & I become lost in thoughts as the brush caresses the canvas.
It had been a strange year, with many stresses & day to day worries consuming my energy ( as it has many people in these troubled times). Over the months I became exhausted & operating in a bit of panic mode. Experience tells me that that is never a good place to be emotionally. The more I worry, the worse things seem to get.
My usual positive outlook seemed to have slipped away. But I realised that that is just human, however much you know about self growth & well being, old habits, limiting thoughts can creep up on you if you don't pay constant attention.
This time painting, made me realise how much I was limiting myself & that the only thing getting in the way of moving forward was my own mindset & that I could change that whenever I chose. These insights quickly had me work through everything which had been stopping me & I emerged with new energy, ideas & motivation to take action. With my mind in the right attitude everything around me started to change & good things coming to me without any effort.
That's the wonderful thing about being human, we have free will & we can choose how to think, act & feel. Sometimes it's only ourselves holding us back & just working on changing our thinking from negative to positive is all that we need to flourish.
