About this painting. The thoughts and stories behind this flower painting of a lilac coloured flag iris run deep. Lilac is a colour linked closely with the spirit, a meditative colour which represents emotional expression. Linked with the symbolism of the iris, the painting process was all about feminine emotional expression & learning about when to be strong & when to express deeper feelings or vulnerability to find balance.
