About this painting: Getting up early in the morning has one benefit. looking out of the top floor window I'm gifted with a view of ground mist rising off the hills, creating floating islands of tree tops.

It's a very special time of day. The dawn chorus of birdsong quietens down & a soulful stillness evades. The house light is mellow & a time to gather thoughts & slowly join the day as the mists rise. Taking those moments of time to let the body awaken fully, at it' sown pace & to breathe before the activity of the day, brings a grounded energy & calm start.
