‘Rise’, what can I say about the thoughts behind this painting?

Well, following on from the quiet stirrings of ideas whilst painting ‘Consciousness’, this one sort of blew my mind.

I had so many lightbulb moments & bursts of inspiration that I think I have quite genuinely released myself into much bolder, or should I say ‘truer’ phase in my life. I’m not prepared to hold back anymore, or compromise my own wellbeing out of being who others want me to be. I want to celebrate women in every way possible & make sure that we are being loved, valued & appreciated for everything we are.

What came up for me can be summed up in the following.

Rise to be the best you can be.

Rise above the past.

Rise beyond your age, your season.

Rise above the baggage, the grief the sadness.

Rise above all that holds you back.

Rise & live a life you love.

Rise above what others want you to be.

Rise above doubt, above fear.

Rise above all limitations.

Rise beyond all boundaries.

Rise towards the light, towards connection.

Rise & be held by angels.

Rise to miracles, rise to your power

Rise to the magic, to your majesty

Rise, because you are Woman

Rise to your wisdom.

Rise to self belief.

Rise to fulfil your purpose & passion.
