About this Painting: Hush is a painting which brings the sultry relaxation of a summers evening to your home. For a feeling of well being I turn to warm golden hour colours which take my mind to those peaceful moments just before dusk.
There is a particular time on a sun soaked day when a restful silence falls across the countryside. The birds stop to rest, the insects pause & the lowering sun makes everything gilded in comforting light.
It’s the time I love to pause, take a cool drink, snuggle into my favourite terrace chair, put my feet up & just enjoy the stillness.
It’s those time when the warmth suffuses the senses that I feel grounded & truly at rest. In February, it feels that was soooo long ago. So surrounding myself with the colours of those summer evenings gives me a touch of that feeling.
