Moments come & go, sometimes disappearing into the either, sometimes leaving a permanent impression.

Yet, we get so very attached to things. Get used to things being a certain way, being in a certain place, relationships with certain people. We want to hold on to things & not let go. But in holding on we either stifle the thing we hold or become complacent & not appreciative of how very wonderful things are. We let our memories or our future desires dominate our thoughts & minds & just forget to truly live the moment we are in.

So often this distraction of thinking or off grasping onto something just takes away the joy of just being in the moment & appreciating what is right in front of us. If we can be more present to ‘right now’, to find the beauty in the every moment, life becomes richer, fuller more enriching. The moments come & go, but being in them fully gives us a more technicolour experience. Makes time last & not whizz by in a blur.

The things we hold onto, become attached to. Homes, belongings, people. They can hold us back too from living fully. We think we ‘can’t live without’ a thing, but in reality change enriches us, expands our experience. Longing for more or mourning what’s gone just inhibits us from just being, enjoying, fully being present to life.
