When golden hour bathes the meadow in its warmth, the landscape transforms into a luminous composition of amber, ochre, and burnt sienna.

Delicate seed heads scatter across the vista, weaving together a rich, textured landscape that invites contemplation. This striking artwork spans two 76cm square panels, each 2cm deep, offering flexibility in presentation: display as a unified diptych or position as individual pieces. The work radiates an understated elegance through its harmonious palette of warm hues, creating an atmosphere of serene refinement and gentle visual comfort.

The story behind the painting:

'Fullfilment' has two meanings; The completion of a project or delivery of a promise, but also the feeling of emotional contentment, happiness & satisfaction when everything is just lining up perfectly.

Having 'full' & 'fill' in one word, to me, means a feeling of being topped up emotionally, full of gratitude, filled with joy. Happy with where I am and what I'm doing.

But that feeling doesn't have to be about anything huge, it's a feeling you can find every day, if you simply look at things from a different angle. The joy of being with people you love, being happy seeing friends & family doing well. The little things every day which mean life is good, just as it is.

For me, sitting in  a meadow, my back held by an ancient oak, the warmth of evening sunlight & buzz of insect life is often all I need to feel that deep satisfaction in life.

I guess I could choose to look at what is missing, what I don't have, but what would be the point of that? We can choose how we look at life & when I choose to see the good, fullfilment is never far behind.
