About this Print: This beautiful Fine Art print is taken from the original big flower painting of the same name . Full of warn jewel colours of teal, dark blue, greens & magenta.. A delicate dusty pink water lily flower floats gently amongst its leaves on a pond surface. The painting exudes a comforting warmth & stimulates the senses with rich colours. It will make a bold & prominent statement piece in a room, which creates an uplifting atmosphere & sense of peace.

Symbol of unity and balance. Water Lilies represent peace, spiritual rebirth & hope. All things which I needed as February opened its arms & I embarked on painting this very big canvas.

The story behnd creating

Fortitude- Courage & determination despite pain & adversity.

When I started this painting I was in a pretty miserable place. I won’t go into the details but I was feeling as low & closer to the edge than I’d ever been. I had two choices; give in or get on with it.
If you know me at all, you’ll know which way I tend to go, but this time I just couldn’t sum up the energy or inclination. I just wanted it all to go away. I know I am not alone in these feelings, I’m pretty sure we’ve all been there at one point, especially these days.

But giving up just can’t be an option when others are relying on you a one way or another you have to find a way through. I guess step 1 was accepting that it’s ok to feel like this way sometimes. Step 2 to resolve to find a way through. Step 3 to give myself a damn good talking to in the mirror. Step 4 to scream at the Universe & tell it to get its act together. Step 5 just get up & take the first step. Step 6 be bold, be brave & try something new even if it’s daunting. Step 7 keep at it.

And so things turn around. Going out of one’s comfort zone can have amazing results & taking action when you feel you really can’t just need one step forward to get the ball rolling. In the space of a week everything changes. That determination & grit is something which makes incredible things possible. We all have it. Within us, even if at times we can’t see that.

If you’re in that dark space, just reach out. Reach out for help, from your deepest strength, from the universe or from others. There will always be a hand there to help you. All you need to do is have faith & let it in.

Fortitude brings with it that strength, in its strong colours & bold flower
