About this Painting: Silence is Golden is a small canvas full of light & calm. It's story is all about how it takes really stopping the constant inner dialogue we have in order to find true calm & peace. We all do it, don’t we... have that little voice in our head which goes off on tangents which end up having us feel anxious or stressed.

This painting is about the magic of quiet moments in nature, where we can still the mind & fund peace in Nature's simplicity.

Over the years I’ve learned to really notice & pay attention to what that voice is saying & to purposefully silence it, or change the focus to a positive thought. Sometimes, if I’m struggling it takes repeating a positive affirmation until the thoughts subside. At other times (sounds nuts but works) I imagine a gremlin on my shoulder who is that chatter. I thank him for his contribution but let him know I’ll be thinking something more inspiring.. and blast him with a bazooka of purple paint!

Finding silence in our minds to allow ourselves to be in the moment, appreciate what we have, notice the beauty of little things can be such a lovely way to feel well being & just approach each day with a positive outlook.

It brings light & uplifting energy to it's space.
